Henry Blooms Raspberry Leaf 2000 60 Capsules
Raspberry leaf is a toning astringent herb that has been traditionally used as an antispasmodic and women’s reproductive system tonic. It is used particularly in the last trimester of pregnancy to facilitate childbirth and may also help ease labour pains.
Raspberry leaf has been traditionally used in Western herbalism for the relief of diarrhoea. Blooms Raspberry Leaf 2000 may also help with the symptoms of morning sickness, diarrhoea, nausea and vomiting and may also assist in the management of dysmenorrhoea.
90% of Raspberry Leaf is used by pregnant women
Although raspberries are consumed throughout the world, raspberry leaf as a medicinal herb is not widely known to the majority of the population, due to the fact that it has such a narrow therapeutic focus- 90% of the time it is used by pregnant women. Perparation for birth is not the only use of raspberry leaf, this toing herb is also indicated for the relief of heavy, painful periods (dysmenorrhoea).
How it works
Raspberry leaves contain a combination of vitamins A, B, C, and D, plus the minerals phosphorus, potassium and calcium.
It is thought that raspberry leaf may build up the strength of the uterine muscle, leading to an easier birth. Raspberry leaf appears to have two different actions: It can help to relax uterine muscle, as well as initiate contractions.
