The aged, dried bark of Cascara sagrada, also known as 'sacred bark' was traditionally used by the North American Indians as a laxative and is now one of the most popular herbal laxatives used today. Cascara sagrada influences intestinal contraction and supports a clean healthy colon. This product generally produces bowel movement in 6-12 hours. It is important to drink plenty of water and increase fibre in the diet.
Indications for Use
- Aids or assists in the relief of constipation.
- Cascara sagrada acts as a herbal laxative for the symptomatic relief of constipation.
Each Capsule Contains:
Frangula purshiana (Cascara sagrada) bark powder 400mg
Dosage
Adults: Take one capsule with a glass (250mL) of water twice daily.
Children: It is recommended this product not be taken by children under 12 years of age.
Cations
Prolonged use may cause serious bowel problems. If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare practitioner. Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting are present, or if you develop diarrhoea. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, seek the advice of a healthcare practitioner.
